SANTA ROSA, CA – Even as coronavirus cases are on the decline, Sonoma County health officials think another wave of cases could happen. Dr. Gary Green, an infectious disease expert at Sutter Santa Rosa Regional Hospital, said there could be a potential third wave coming. With California and other states opening up, new variants of the coronavirus will become more present according to Green. County Health Officer Dr. Sundari Mase said yesterday that she wouldn’t be surprised if another wave happened, but it will depend on how well people follow health measures now that places are reopening.
