Santa Rosa, CA: Big Rig Crash on Highway 101

SANTA ROSA, CA – At least one person was injured Friday afternoon in a traffic crash involving a semi-truck in Santa Rosa, according to a local news source.
The accident happened at about 1:30 p.m. on U.S. Highway 101 near the Todd Road exit, the California Highway Patrol reported.
According to the CHP, the big rig reportedly rolled over in the southbound lane of U.S. Highway 101. The semi-truck then crashed into a tree.

At least one person sustained injuries as a result of the crash. The name and condition of the patient were not immediately disclosed.
Authorities said the crash sparked a fire and caused major damage to a guardrail. Debris from the crash was scattered on Moorland Avenue.
All three lanes of U.S Highway 101 were closed while the investigation and cleanup took place.
